At the most recent international bonvinitas Wine Award, it was awarded 90 bonvinitas points by the examiners in blind evaluation: Green points mean category 1, dry up to 12% alcohol (the rating system), which already says, great but not to much alcohol. I, Dieter Simon, then taste the best wines to present them here, and am always particularly happy when they are good category 1 wines with pleasant alcohol:

2023 Pinot Blanc dry, from the slate steep slope, German quality wine Mosel, 12%, Wine Estate Martin Conrad, Brauneberg: As soon as you take a smell, you are greeted by a compact, slightly smoky scent with notes of autumn apples, dried figs and baked apples; on the tongue, a quaffable, full-bodied body unfolds, from which rise subtle salty-mineral notes, which then flow into a strong, juicy finish from which fine glaze appears. Fits well to hors d'oeuvre, finger food as well as cream schnitzel or mushroom dishes.

The vines of the 5.5 hectares winery grow largely on steep slate slopes in the Brauneberger Juffer and in the Juffer-Sonnenuhr site as well as in the nearby Muelheimer Sonnenlay and Veldenzer Kirchberg. The last two are slopes that rise from a glacial valley where the Pinot Blanc has grown.
