Aruba is a Caribbean island of approximately 180 square kilometers and part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Located off the coast of Venezuela, it is known for its white sandy beaches, arid landscape, and diverse culture. From September 2026 until the end of the year, various events in San Nicolas, Oranjestad, and other locations on the island invite visitors to discover Aruba beyond the typical beach vacation.

Culinary Highlights

Beim Authentic FestivalThe Seafood Festival on September 26th will focus on local specialties and fresh seafood flavors. From October 3rd to 11th, the Autentico Aruba Culinary Festival invites visitors to a Restaurant Week and special culinary experiences. The festival concludes with an event on October 10th and 11th in Oranjestad featuring local and international chefs.

Mountain biking through Aruba's landscape

From October 9th to 11th, the Leyenda del Dorado Aruba will lead mountain bike fans along challenging trails through the rugged landscape.

Start of the carnival season

The new carnival season traditionally is beginning on November 11th at 11:11 am. In the following months, parades, music, and colorful celebrations in San Nicolas and Oranjestad provide highlights.

New Year's Eve with tradition

On December 31st, Aruba welcomes the new year with music and fireworks. A special part of the celebrations is the traditional Dande, in which musicians go from house to house delivering wishes for happiness, health, and prosperity.
