The Saar Riesling Summer invites wine lovers to a special experience centered around the Saar's rich Riesling tradition. Visitors can discover top regional wines, meet winemakers in person, and enjoy the unique wine landscape along the Saar River.

Over 30 wineries

At a total of eleven stations, visitors can taste wines and Crémants from more than 30 producers, estates form the Saar as well as guests. The events take place in modern wine shops, historic wineries, and parks and gardens along the Saar River. The program is complemented by special tastings at four stations focusing on topics such as Crémant and Pinot Noir. The winemakers invite you to join them on Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 12:00 to 18:00 each day. Here is a list of the participating wineries with guest producers.

The opening gala

The event will take place on Friday, August 28th, starting at 6:00 PM in the Saarburg Castle Restaurant. Under the motto "Napoli meets Saar," an exclusive gala awaits you, featuring a four-course menu, Italian flair, and fine wines.

Shuttle Bus

For a carefree and enjoyable experience, the proven mobility concept is in place: On August 29th and 30th, shuttle buses will run frequently between 12:00 and 18:00, connecting all eleven stations from Konz-Filzen to Serrig and back. Passengers can board at any time. There are no fixed timetables – the buses run continuously, minimizing waiting times at the stops. For a stress-free, car-free journey, the route connects directly to regional train stations. Furthermore, the event ticket entitles the holder to free use of regular public transport throughout the entire VRT network.

• Saturday ticket (August 29): €55
• The Sunday ticket (August 30th) costs €40.
• Combined ticket (Sat. & So.) 70 €
• Opening night (Friday, August 28): €215 per person

The ticket price includes free wine tasting at participating wineries, bread and water during the tasting, free use of the shuttle bus between wineries, and public transport within the Trier Region Transport Association (VRT). The route runs as a flexible shuttle service from Serrig via Saarburg, Ayl, Schoden, and Wittlingen to Konz-Filzen.
