Anyone looking for a rich experience in wine and culinary delights, as well as numerous events, will find themselves right at home here: wine tastings, concerts, hikes, festivals, and even special KaiserHerbst dishes. The lifestyle in this region between the Black Forest and Alsace is a blend of Baden's down-to-earth nature and French savoir-vivre, a mix of enjoyment, good wine, and conviviality.

The good wines of the Kaiserstuhl region are telling stories:

from the volcanic or loess soils, the microclimate as well as the work and style of the winemaker.

Nearly 100 events

From October 10th to November 8th, a variety of events are planned around the Kaiserstuhl and Tuniberg regions – from the pumpkin festival in the village square to a culinary wine evening in a historic wine estate, where cheerful people gather under strings of lights and clink glasses. Conversations will flow easily, perhaps to the rhythm of brass band music, a fine Pinot Gris, and a slice of onion tart. Many restaurants feature special "KaiserHerbst" (Emperor's Autumn) dishes on their menus.

KaiserWii at the Bastian winery 2025The " KaiserWii " wine tasting on October 10th at the Bastian winery in Endingen kicks off the series. Over 100 different wines from regional producers will be available for tasting, offering a cross-section of the region – accompanied by music and culinary delights. At the " Kitchen Party with Four Star Chefs " on October 18th at Merkle's Restaurant in Endingen, guests will not only be able to sample the wines but also peek into the pots and see firsthand how fine cuisine is created from regional ingredients, accompanied by wonderful white and red Burgundy wines curated by sommelier Corinna Sauerburger.

" Wood or Steel " is the title of a literary and musical wine tasting on October 24th in Riegel. The combination of wine, literature, and music promises a special evening at the Kumedi Theater. Different winemaking methods will be presented. " Origin Kaiserstuhl " is the name of the vineyard tasting on November 1st in Ihringen, where the Kaiserstuhl Hall will be transformed into a terroir experience center. The Burkheim Castle ruins will serve as the backdrop for " Dinner for One in Alemannic dialect "—naturally with wine tasting —on October 16th, 17th, and 18th—to name just a few of the highlights. Further "KaiserHerbst" (Emperor's Autumn) dishes await in local restaurants, along with guided hikes through the typical loess hollow lanes, tractor rides through the vineyards, concerts, readings, and much more…
